The Las Vegas MSK Ultrasound and Orthobiologic Course directors and founders are orthopedic surgeons who guide the faculty to make the course the most economical and practical MSK ultrasound training course.
The 2 day MSK Ultrasound portion of the course focuses on ultrasound scanning tips and the ultrasound anatomy important for everyday clinical practice. Topics include shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, and foot/ankle anatomy. Pathology and injection techniques are also demonstrated in depth thru clinical video and live hands on afternoon sessions where there is one model for every two participants.
Our handpicked faculty proctor no more than 4 participants so there is significant time get plenty of clinical pearls. With multiple MSK ultrasound vendors in attendance, participants have a chance to see the latest clinical machines for hands on comparison and evaluation.
There is also an update on current coding, billing, certification, and accreditation requirements for clinicians who want to incorporate this modality into their practices.
The 1/2 day Orthobiologics Seminar on Thursday is a basic science and clinical update on current best practices for using PRP and Stem Cells in orthopedics. We focus on an evidence based review so interested clinicians can have accurate information to counsel patients. During the seminar, we will do live PRP and ultrasound guided bone marrow aspiration cases to demonstrate clinical tips for maximize success for these procedures.
