Mid-Atlantic Shoulder & Elbow Society 9th Annual Society Meeting

Founded in 2010, MASES is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals in the Mid Atlantic region with quality educational opportunities focusing on the shoulder and elbow. The purpose of this Society is to promote, encourage, foster, and advance the art and science of orthopaedic medicine, with focus on shoulder and elbow surgery; to establish a forum for free discussion and teaching among its members; to advance patient care and research affecting the practice of shoulder and elbow care in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States of America; and to inform the public as to the nature of shoulder and elbow care in the total health care system.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The MASES course lectures are by nationally recognized experts in the field of shoulder and elbow treatment from the Mid-Atlantic region. They will provide in-depth coverage of the latest non-surgical and surgical modalities for your patients. The course will also provide opportunity for personal interaction with pre-eminent internationally recognized leaders in this area. This course is directed towards orthopedic surgeons and residents, athletic trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, advanced practice nurses, physician’s assistants, and physicians with a particular interest in shoulder and elbow disorders.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Review critical treatment issues in the management of shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, and the proper utilization of shoulder arthroplasty. The course will also cover the management of patients with common and complex elbow disorders. This course will provide updates on the most recent advances in the management of shoulder and elbow patients. The course will also provide practical and interactive learning opportunities for participants. This course is not currently approved for CME credits.
